WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This 1- day course is aimed at anyone who:
would like to use a Total Station for carrying out as- built surveys, setting out points or plumbing walls and columns (no previous experience required).
uses a Total Station and would like to improve their speed, accuracy and checking methods.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
set up the Total Station and targets over a fixed point using the recommended procedure
carry out the appropriate calibration checks
observe points using best practice
carry out a survey of existing points and store them in the Total Station memory
store co-ordinates of control points in the Total Station memory and set out new points
carry out a Resection (Free Station)
plumb up walls and columns using the Total Station
This is a practical course with no more than 2 people per group. Every delegate will get full hands- experience of the equipment and achieve each objective individually.
ABOUT THE COURSE TUTOR
Saffron Grant is an Approved Contract Trainer for the Construction Skills College and holds the position of Associate Lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Through her training experience she has developed a facilitative style which supports embedded learning and makes her courses both enjoyable and memorable.
